18th June 2004 Windsurfing: Golf Course Car park, Ynyslas Wind Direction: NW Wind Stength: 18-25 knots Surf / Sea State: 3 foot messy surf Air Temperature: 11ºC Sea Temperature: 15ºC Weather: Sunny spells Max Speed: Distance Covered: Another mad windy night, so I decided an early start was in order, as it happens I didn't get on the water until about 7.30am, so it was actually quite a late start. Still plenty of wind though. I did think about going out with the 5m and wave board but there was the odd lull so I rigged the 5.7m as flat as I could and went out with that. At times I was totally maxed out, but most of the time it was perfect for some stupidly fast blasting in the choppy water. Plenty of long floaty jumps out the back and some good wave rides on the way in. I stayed in for a couple of hours and once again it was just me and the jellyfish out there.... the beach is covered in little ones at the moment, and there were some dustbin lid sized monsters out there! |
